It’s rare to find homemade banchan in London, so I was overjoyed to find Soban. The portion is very generous for the price and honestly delicious.

I’m Korean and really missed this mushroom food as I barely found this specific bancan in the UK! The marinade is perfectly balanced—savoury with a touch of sweetness from the soy sauce, enhancing the meaty texture of the mushrooms. It’s an authentic Korean side dish that pairs beautifully with any meal, making it a must-try for mushroom lovers.

I ordered the Onion Jangajji (양파 장아찌), and it was absolutely delicious! The pickled onions had just the right balance of tanginess and sweetness, perfectly complementing the other dishes. The texture was crisp, and the flavor was bold yet refreshing. It’s the perfect side dish to pair with a variety of Korean meals or enjoy on its own. Highly recommend it if you’d like to try Korean pickle!

The Sausage Vegetable Bokkeum was a real treat. The savoury sausage mixed with the crispness of the paprika and onions created a wonderful blend of textures and flavors. The dish had a nice balance, making it both hearty and refreshing. A perfect side dish that complements any meal!

The Korean Curry was a comforting delight, with a rich and flavorful sauce that had just the right amount of spice. The curry had a lovely depth that made each bite warm and satisfying (there were beef, carrots and tomatoes enough). It’s a great dish to pair with rice, and I could easily see myself enjoying this. You should try the Korean one if you only tried other countries of curry! 😉

I moved to London last year for my MA studies. While I have enjoyed Korean food at Korean restaurants, I tried ordering banchan to enjoy at home.
The food was freshly prepared and more generous in potion compared to what I usually get from Korean supermarkets. It is great to have a taste of home away from home.
However, I live outside the delivery area and had to pick up my order at Bond Street Station. I hope the delivery area will expand in the future.
I highly recommend this service for anyone craving Korean home cooking in London. It is easy way to enjoy banchan, especially during busy school day.

I ordered the Sunday Banchan Set from SOBAN and was thoroughly impressed. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Tofu Jorim was perfectly seasoned, and the Potato Spam Bokkeum had a wonderful balance of flavours. The Courgette Bokkeum and Bean Sprout Namul were both delightful and complemented the meal nicely. I highly recommend this set for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Korean banchan at home. I’ll definitely be ordering again!

런던, 특히 센트럴에서 한국 반찬 가게를 찾기 어려운데, 이런 반찬가게가 생겨서 너무 좋아요 ❤️ 집에서 쉽게 한국의 맛을 느낄 수 있어 강추함다! 두부 조림은 단짠단짠으로 간이 되어 있어서 밥이랑 아주 잘 어울렸고요, 감자 스팸 볶음은 감자의 아삭함이랑 스팸의 짭짤함이 좋았어요. 그리고 애호박 볶음은 간이 슴슴하게 되어있어서 밥 없이도끝도 없니 들어가더라고요 😂 숙주 나물도 넘 싱싱했고 전체적으로정말 만족스러운 식사를 했습니다. 사장님 번창하세용~
